Learning needs judgement
AI can help explain ideas, translate language, and support access to learning. But education also forms patience, memory, honesty, creativity, and judgement.
If students become passive recipients of machine output, something human in learning is weakened.
Families need honest guidance
The encyclical encourages adults to help young people use technology in a human way. That means neither panic nor surrender.
Families and schools can teach children to ask whether a tool helps them understand, create, relate, and serve, or whether it simply replaces their attention.
A culture of presence
Magnifica Humanitas values real relationships, embodied presence, and communities of care. Education should protect those things.
Technology has its place, but it should not crowd out conversation, responsibility, prayer, reading, craft, friendship, and service.
